Nakheel has awarded contracts worth over Dh3.5 billion to build 544 villas on Palm Jebel Ali, marking significant progress in the development of Dubai's expansive waterfront residential project. Ginco General Contracting L.L.C will construct 354 villas across Fronds A to D, while United Engineering Construction (UNEC) will build 190 villas on Fronds E and F. Construction is slated to commence this quarter, with completion targeted for the fourth quarter of 2028.
The villas are designed to maximize waterfront views and will feature smart-home technology and sustainable design elements. This project is a key part of Dubai's urban expansion along its southern coastline, aligning with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. These plans focus on expanding the city's residential, investment, and lifestyle offerings.
Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, emphasized the project's importance, stating that Palm Jebel Ali represents a major expansion of Dubai's urban coastline. The project is expected to support the emirate's long-term growth and strengthen its global appeal. The awarding of these contracts allows construction to proceed across the first six fronds of the island.
