Rental Dispute Resolution Law Enacted

Ajman's Ruler, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, has enacted Law No. 1 of 2026, establishing a Rental Dispute Resolution Centre. This new entity replaces the existing Rental Disputes Committee, marking a significant step in streamlining the handling of landlord-tenant disagreements within the emirate. The primary goal is to bolster the legal framework governing rental agreements and ensure fair, efficient resolutions.

The centre will operate as a specialized judicial body, utilizing established legal and judicial best practices to resolve disputes. Its jurisdiction extends to all rental properties across Ajman, including those within free zones. This comprehensive approach aims to accelerate legal proceedings, deliver prompt justice, and foster economic stability within the property leasing sector.
