The United Arab Emirates has overtaken the United States in the number of completed skyscrapers exceeding 300 meters in height, according to recent data from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). The UAE now boasts 37 such buildings, surpassing the US, which has 31. This surge is primarily driven by Dubai, home to the iconic Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, and a symbol of the nation's architectural ambition and tourism appeal.

China continues to dominate the global high-rise landscape, with a staggering 122 supertall structures (over 300 meters). The country also leads in the total number of tall buildings, with 3,497 structures exceeding 150 meters. Cities like Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou showcase engineering marvels, including the Shanghai Tower and the Ping An Finance Center.

Globally, the UAE ranks third in the total number of tall buildings across all height categories. The United States, despite being surpassed in supertall buildings, remains a significant player with iconic towers like One World Trade Center and ranks second overall. Other nations like Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Canada, and Australia are also contributing to the evolving global skyline.
